Dunno how to put it properly into words but lately I find myself thinking more about that particular innocence of fairy tales, for lack of better word. Where a traveller in the middle of a field comes across an old woman with a scythe who is very clearly Death, but he treats her as any other auntie from the village. Or meeting a strange green-skinned man by the lake and sharing your loaf of bread with him when he asks because even though he's clearly not human, your mother's last words before you left home were to be kind to everyone. Where the old man in the forest rewards you for your help with nothing but a dove feather, and when you accept even such a seemingly useless reward with gratitude, on your way home you learn that it's turned to solid gold. Where supernatural beings never harm a person directly and every action against humans is a test of character, and every supernatural punishment is the result of a person bringing on their own demise through their own actions they could have avoided had they changed their ways. Where the hero wins for no other reason than that they were a good person. I don't have the braincells to describe this better right now but I wish modern fairy tales did this more instead of trying to be fantasy action movies.

the potential side effects of transfem hrt that everyone yells at as are stupid and sometimes bullshit like yeah yeah we knowwww all the side effects. You know what they don't warn you about that's very real???? Underboob sweat. I fucking loathe underboob sweat. Not saying I regret anything, but holy fuck can we invent boobs that don't sweat.
Ok so I live in a swamp and I sprouted F cups at 25 over a 6 month period. I was completely flat chested before then, and not in contact with my family, so I had no idea how to manage my new tits and the problems sweat and heat rash caused, so here's my tips for newly sweaty tits.
- Fungus: You can get fungal skin infections in the crease if you live in a humid area. So if you find yourself sloughing off heaps of skin from there when you shower, I've found that's a good indication that you could be developing a fungus. Zinc powder will help you both stay dry and kill any fungus. The stuff they sell for tinea works perfectly.
- Raw skin: You can get chub rub under your boobs the same way you can between your thighs, the tinea powder can help with this if you've got some, it stays dry. Otherwise my go-to is the vagisil non-talc powder for vaginas. It's a very fine powder and it stops that friction, and I find it doesn't upset the sensitive skin of the crease.
- Boob sweat: For boob sweat you can use an antiperspirant under your boobs the same way you can in your armpits. The stuff marketed for women is better for areas with no hair, because it's formulated with the expectation that it's being used on shaved pits. If you get the sports version or the 'perscription' grade stuff it works well. You have to get the antiperspirant though, not just the deodorant. Roll it onto the crease then rub it on with your hands all sections of your boob and ribs that touch. If the slimey feel is gross just lift your tits in front of a fan for a few mins and you can dry the deodorant faster
- Bras: I have never found an entirely cotton bra that has the structure I need (something that will lift my tits from folding over), and polyester is something that generates sweat without wicking it away, it's extremely uncomfortable in a humid place to have your tits permanently damp. I have found that a mesh lace underwired bra is miles better at keeping boob sweat manageable than anything else, because you get airflow. You're looking for one with no padding, that is entirely mesh. My favourite is this one by elomi, I have it in several colours. It's expensive but I haven't had any of mine break and stab me with the underwire and I've been wearing them for years. If you have smaller boobs you'll have more options, the mesh ones are in the lingerie section, but a good bra is comfortable even if it's lingere.

Some of them have started talking like that even when interacting with targets the locals are starting to become suspicious of anyone wearing black and I’ve told the new assassins to pivot and try wearing brighter colors but they refuse and keep going on about “the inky cold black of death that awaits you after this day” and the targets run away while they’re monologuing like guys I appreciate the sentiment but we’re trying to keep a low profile here
The lord of untimely death came to me in a dream and asked why our assassinations have been failing lately and I was like everyone keeps getting more dramatic and getting nothing done and he was like can your assassins stop being goth for five minutes and get me some fresh blood and I told everyone this at the weekly meeting and they all started chanting about blood for the blood god like guys no that’s not our patron did any of you pay attention during orientation
Oh. My gods. The guy sent to kill the Duke of whitefield screamed “For the blood god!” before trying to stab him in broad daylight and he got killed by the guards now everyone is talking about us. And the lord of untimely death and the blood god are both pissed at me for different reasons and sending me conflicting nightmares now to torment me it’s frickin annoying.
My counterpart at the southern branch just stumbled into our base bloody and at death’s door and instead of trying to help me heal her and get information people just kept muttering “woah so dramatic” and “ah, the smell of blood” like there’s a woman we weren’t hired to kill bleeding out and trying to tell us something important
Half the people at the southern branch are dead after a raid from the duke’s guard and now I need to send reinforcements to defend the surviving members. I tried sending the most serious members but they were still cheering for death and blood for the blood god as they left I think we’re all doomed
Our lord has forsaken us. We have forgotten him. The young have turned to the blood god who does not want them. I find myself remembering my early days of sinking into the shadows. Before I spent my days pushing paper. Even at the end these people keep muttering about how our enemies will taste steel. They think their black robes will hide them but they will not. I will go out fighting these law men. Perhaps I will even live but after all this I know for sure I can never deal with these overdramatic sons of bitches ever again. If I live through this I’m joining a mage’s gang. I can’t put up with these idiots anymore I’m joining the fire mages if the guards don’t take us all out I’m going to blow all these idiots up myself assassins code be damned

No need to post I just saw your thing about talking to people from a reblog and I just want to share some of that joy because oh my gosh I’ve lived in NYC for almost fifteen years now and if you asked me today what my favorite thing in the world is I’d tell you it’s “when people I don’t know ask me for directions”. I love love love love talking to people on the street and just being like HEY we are both people isn’t that cool what’s your energy let’s take the subway together and have a beautiful 20 minute conversation. I don’t know how to advise people to get to this place because when I was younger I definitely couldn’t do this social stuff (on the spectrum) but I’m in my very early 30s now and it’s so cool! People are people and life is awesome and we are all in it together. Helps I live in a super diverse place for sure but wow people are the best part of existence sometimes. Sorry for the ramble I loved your post :’)
